Membership

AIAP brings together 71 companies and institutions across the Philippine aerospace and aviation industries - manufacturing, MRO, aviation schools, logistics, suppliers and government.

Eligibility

Classes of membership

Which class applies depends on what your organization is, not on how large it is.

Regular Members

Regular Membership is open to private enterprises engaged in business and other entrepreneurial activities operating in the AEROSPACE and related industries for profit or the exercise of a profession. To qualify, the enterprise must be actively conducting business in the Philippines and duly registered with the appropriate government agency/agencies. The company must have been in operation for at least one year from the date of registration and possess a valid business permit issued by the appropriate Local Government Unit. Additionally, the application must be supported by the company's latest financial statement.

Associate Members

Any business association or sectoral organization duly registered under Philippine laws shall be eligible as an Associate Member, provided that the majority of its members meet the qualifications required of a Regular Member as stipulated in the AIAP by-laws.

Honorary Members

Honorary membership is extended to officers or executives employed in government bodies who are officially designated to oversee business affairs and the development agenda for the aerospace and related industries. Eligibility is contingent upon endorsement by the Executive Head of the respective government body which the individual represents.

Affiliate Members

Entities that do not meet the qualifications for Regular, Associate, or Honorary Membership are eligible for Affiliate Membership. While Affiliate Members enjoy most rights and privileges of Regular Members, they are not entitled to vote or hold elective office.

The AIAP by-laws remain the authority on eligibility, dues, voting rights and the admission process.

Applying

What a Regular Member application needs

These are the qualifications the association sets for Regular Membership. The secretariat will tell you which documents apply to the other classes.

  • Actively conducting business in the Philippines, in the aerospace or a related industry
  • Duly registered with the appropriate government agency or agencies
  • In operation for at least one year from the date of registration
  • A valid business permit from the appropriate Local Government Unit
  • The company's latest financial statement in support of the application

Associate applicants are assessed on whether the majority of their members qualify as Regular Members; Honorary membership requires endorsement by the Executive Head of the government body concerned.
